“I honestly couldn’t imagine bringing another baby into the world without her there beside me.”
Victoria was hoping for a VBAC. Her birth looked completely different to what she'd planned — and it was still one of the most beautiful experiences of her life. This is what the right support makes possible.

“When we fell pregnant with our daughter, I knew I wanted to try for a VBAC and I also knew I wanted support that felt calm, grounding and genuinely nurturing but also was backed with experience and education. From the moment we met Steph, we knew she was someone special.”
We didn’t know whether we were having a little boy or girl and there was something so beautiful about walking through that season of anticipation and preparation with Steph beside us. She made me feel safe, supported and empowered from the very beginning.
Our birth didn’t go the way we had planned. I experienced a uterine rupture and needed an emergency cesarean, which was obviously incredibly scary and emotional. But despite everything changing so quickly, I never felt alone. Steph supported me through every single moment with such calmness, compassion and strength. In what could have been an incredibly traumatic experience, she helped me feel safe, informed and deeply cared for.
What I think makes Steph so exceptional is that she never made the experience feel like we had somehow “failed” because birth looked different to what we had hoped for. She held space for me emotionally while also helping me feel empowered in moments where I could have very easily felt overwhelmed.
Looking back, even though my birth wasn’t the one I had imagined, it was still incredibly beautiful in its own way and I truly believe Steph played such a significant role in that.
